Hello again. Earlier today, the free download of Coldplay's new live album, LeftRightLeftRightLeft, was made available - click here to download your free copy from Coldplay.com now. Today is also the day of the band's first North American tour date, in West Palm Beach, where the first copies of the LRLRL CD will be given away.

The CD will then be handed out to all fans at every remaining Coldplay live shows in 2009 (apart from Festival shows). The free download will also be available from Coldplay.com until the band play their final 2009 show. We hope you like it.

COLDPLAY ANNOUNCE A FREE SINGLE TO DOWNLOAD AND A FREE SHOW IN LONDON AND NEW YORK.

“Violet Hill”, Coldplay’s first single from the new album “Viva La Vida or Death And All His Friends” will be available as a free download from their website www.coldplay.com for one week starting tomorrow, April 29 at 12.15pm (UK time). At that time the single will be played for the first time on radio and will simultaneously be available free exclusively from the website, a week ahead of its general digital release. The digital release will be a conventional paid-for release on May 6.

At the same time, coldplay.com will have preliminary details of two free shows that the band will play, one in London and one in New York.

The free shows are:

NEW YORK MADISON SQUARE GARDEN JUNE 23

PICKING UP, BUT NOT READY TO MOVE ON...

The work is hardly finished in the wake of hurricane Katrina. New Orleans is just beginning the rebuild process and when everyone has moved on to current events, Michael Stipe teams up with Chris Martin (Coldplay) to splash cold water in our faces to drive us back to reality. Stipe decided to cover the anthemic ballad "In The Sun" as his premiere awareness method. When it came time to recruit talent to work with him, Chris Martin was first in line on a celebrity filled roster. "In The Sun" will be remade and released on a 6 track EP early next week. The version featuring Chris Martin will be premiering on this Sunday's episode of "Grey's Anatomy" and will be available for download exclusively through iTUNES the following day (FEB. 5th at 1 PM EST.) "In The Sun" is aimed at reminding the public of the continued sufferings of Katrina's victims, and with Stipe and Martin at the helm, that wont be difficult.
